Donald R. Brown
Owner-Licensed Funeral Director
Don was born April 13, 1941 in a log cabin near Blue Lake in Chipley. Don and his wife Nina were married August 6, 1961 in the First Baptist Church in Chipley, where they continue as members today.
A graduate of Dallas Institute-Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in Dallas, Don has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for over 61 years. He and Nina established Brown Funeral Home in 1966 and have continued to serve families for over 59 years. Don is the Son of Cozie and the late Buford Brown, he and Nina have three children; Cindy Rawls, Eric Brown and Greta Harris. They have five Grandchildren; Adam Padgett, Hannah Ashe, Ryan and Jordan Brown and Ava Harris.
On August 5th, 2024 at the age of 83, Don passed from this life. Brown Funeral Home is still owned by his wife, Nina L. Brown and is Managed by his grandson, Ryan Brown.

Ryan Brown
Manager-Licensed Funeral Director
Ryan Brown, is a native of Chipley and a 2008 graduate of Chipley High School.
Ryan is the Son of Eric and Teresa Brown and Grandson of Don and Nina Brown. Ryan interned here at the funeral home his senior year of high school and went on to Chipola continuing his mortuary school requirements. Ryan graduated from Jefferson State College in May of 2011, receiving his Associate of Science Degree in Mortuary Science.
He successfully passed the National Conference exam in June of 2011 and and started his one year internship. In August of 2012, Ryan passed his Florida Embalmer and Funeral Director's Law exam and finished his internship to receive his Funeral Director License.
In 2013 Ryan met his future wife, Holley Hinson Brown and they married on November 22, 2014. Ryan and Holley have two daughters, Georgia Kate Brown, Finleigh Nell Brown and one son named after his great grandfather, Jackson Don Brown

Ryan Brown

Ryan Brown, is a native of Chipley and a 2008 graduate of Chipley High School.

Brandon D. Wilkes
Assistant Manager-Licensed Funeral Director
Brandon D. Wilkes was raised in Cottondale, FL and graduated there in 2003.
He received his degree for Florida State College in Jacksonville, FL. Brandon is married to Hannah C. (Lamb) Wilkes and has three beautiful daughters, Addison, Kinley and Landry Wilkes, and one son, Liam Wilkes.
His parents are John and Robin Watson of Cottondale, FL and Terry and Tina Wilkes also of Cottondale, FL.
Brandon has been working at Brown Funeral Home since 2003 where he is one of the proud Licensed Funeral Directors to be working for such a caring establishment.

Harry Barton
Pre-Need Counselor
Harry is the Son of the late Harry Barton and Dianne Collins of Compass Lake. He is married to Linda McDuffee Barton and has three Sons; Brian, David and Christopher Barton and three Grandchildren, Bryan, Brianna and Conner. Harry, a current resident of Chipley, attended Cottondale High School and Chipola College. He has had a career in insurance for over 30 years in Florida, N. Carolina and Virginia. Harry and Linda attend the Chipley Church of Christ. He has been involved with umpiring baseball at PALS Park, playing tuba with the Chipola Jazz Band and is a sponsor and cast member of the Spanish Trail Playhouse Community Theatre.

Justin Burnham

A lifelong resident of Washington County, Justin is a 2009 graduate of Chipley High School; he began working in the funeral industry in December of that same year.
He graduated from Chipola College in 2011 and then attended Troy University. In 2015, he graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services in Houston, Texas with High Honors & Distinction, attaining his licensure with the State of Florida in May of 2017.
He is married to Miranda (Pate) Burnham, and together they have four beautiful children: Aubrey, Isabella, Sophie, and Justin Brady.
He is a member of the S.C.V., enjoys hunting, fishing, coaching youth softball, and he is an avid FSU fan.
Justin is committed to providing compassion during the most difficult times of life to each family he assist.
