Willie James Barefield, age 69 of Chipley, died Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 at his home. A native of Headland, Alabama, he had been a resident here for the past three years. He was a farmer, a U.S. Army veteran and was of Baptist Faith. Survivors include his Mother; Willie Mae Barefield, his Wife; Louverne Barefield of Chipley, three Sons: Willie Joe Barefield and wife Cherry of Chipley, Larry Barefield and wife Jennie of Chipley and Clint Barefield and wife Candy of Bonifay, two Brothers; Jimmy Barefield of Headland, and Jessie Barefield of Midland City, Ala., five Sisters; Bulah Mae Davis of Headland, Mabel Hutto of Headland, Sarah Brannon of Headland, Pam Roberts of Sarasota, Fla. and Betty Davis of Headland and six Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 7th, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road, with the Rev. Ernest Dupree and Bishop John Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Wachob-Forrest Lawn Cemetery.
