William Irvin Newsome, age 81, passed from this life Friday, January 18, 2013 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital. He was born in Vernon, Florida on June 22, 1931 to Samuel and Marandi (Rogers) Newsome. Mr. Newsome worked as a carpenter for Allied Development. He has lived her his entire life in Washington County and was a member of the Blue Lake Baptist Church. Mr. Newsome is survived by his wife Mattie Pearl Newsome of Chipley, Fl. 1 daughter Tinette Lynn Carliss of Ashville, N.C., 4 brothers Edward Newsome of Los Angeles, Ca., Aaron Newsome of Jacksonville, Fl., Wayne Newsome of Dade City, Fl., and Roy Newsome of Greenhead Fl. 2 sisters Nadine Morris of Avon Park, Fl. and Shirley of Blountstown, Fl. 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Services will be held 2PM Monday, January 21, 2013 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.D. Maag officiating. Interment will follow in the Barfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley is in charge of the arrangements.
