William Earl Carmichael, age 79 of Chipley, FL went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Earl was born on August 1, 1936 to the late John and Wilma (McCardle) Carmichael in Chattahoochee, FL. He is a lifelong resident of the Chipley area and was a church member at Holmes Creek Baptist Church.

Earl is preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Kilpatrick, and Wanda Carmichael. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Carmichael, of Chipley, FL, one daughter, Kim Barrett and husband Rusty, two sons, Donald Rogers Jr. and wife Lori, of Chipley, FL, and Glenn Rogers and wife Joani, of Chipley, FL, five brothers, Wendell "Wink" Carmichael and wife Lucy, of Chipley, FL, Lamar Carmichael and wife Ruth, of Lineville, AL, Lavon Carmichael of Aurora, CO, Bob Carmichael of Chattahoochee, FL, and John Wayne Carmichael of Graceville, FL, six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, February 1, 2016, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, at 3:00 P.M. at Holmes Creek Baptist Church in Chipley, with Rev. Clint Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Methodist Church, Graceville, FL.
