William "Uncle Bill" Walis Hughes, age 76, passed from this life Friday, January 8, 2016 at Hospice of Okeechobee in Okeechobee, Florida. He was born in Blountstown, FL on April 14, 1939 to Falcon S. and Lula May (Morgan) Hughes. William was Baptist by faith and worked for a trucking company most of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Hughes was survived by his son Wallace Hughes and his wife Deedee of Tifton, GA. Two grandchildren Eric Hughes and his wife Brooke and Amanda Hughes. One great grandchild Ava Hughes and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2P.M., Friday, January 15, 2015 at Rockhill Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
