William Nathaniel Benton Jr., age 92, passed from this life August 11, 2024 at JFK Hospital in Lake Worth, FL. He was born on July 13, 1932 in Jupiter, FL. to the late William N. Benton and Alice Benton. Bill was a retired Master Sergeant Combat Veteran in the United States Air Force and was retired from Washington County Road Department.

He was known to most as Mr. Bill and could be seen driving his side by side on Creek Road and spending most of his time at Strickland Landing on Holmes Creek. He was quick with a smile and a story for any who had the privilege of being in his presence. He was an amazing father, grandfather, uncle and friend.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Polly Benton, his brother; Robert, and his sisters; Mary and Bertha. He is survived by his children Patty Benton, Chuck Prevratil, Tom Prevratil, and Bryan Prevratil, his niece; Jennie Trotter and his nephew; Glenn Simmons.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Live Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
