Willene Dees Coady, age 93 of Chipley, FL passed peacefully to her eternal home Sunday morning, May 24, 2015 at the Washington Nursing and Rehab Center. Willene was born on August 23, 1921 to the late Hugh and Pearlie (Booker) Dees in Burnt Corn, AL. She was formerly a resident of Jay, FL where she led an active life as a homemaker, bookkeeper and community volunteer. She was a devoted member of her church, Jay United Methodist for 60 years. She moved to Marianna, FL in 1999 and was a cherished member of the First United Methodist before leaving for assisted living at Wesley Manor in Dothan, AL. She continued her Christian life at Covenant United Methodist. Williene is preceded in death by her loving husband Riley Conrad Coady. She is survived by one son, John Coady of Marianna, FL, two daughters, Martha Gillette of Land O' Lakes, FL, Janet Peel and husband Doyle of Chipley, FL, one niece, Hilda Worley and husband Doug of Milton, FL, one nephew, Jerry Dees and wife Frances of Molino, FL, five grandchildren, Jennifer Roberts, Jackson Peel, Graham Peel, Alex Rister, Max Coady, five great grandchildren, Cody, Aaron and Griffin Roberts and Hendrix and Morgan Peel. Family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Jay City Cemetery with Reverend Ebb Hagan of Jay United Methodist Church officiating.
