Wesley Pitts, age 50 of Fountain, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at his home. Wesley was born November 9, 1960 in Ozark, Ala., the first of twins to the late Lonnie and Lowana (Peters) Pitts. A resident of Bay County most of his life, Wesley was employed with Pitts Construction Company, a member of the Fountain Pentecostal Ministries and was an avid deer hunter. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Lowell Pitts. Survivors include; his wife, Sonia Pitts of Fountain; two step-sons, David Kelley and wife Susie of Kinard, Fla., and Adam Smith and wife Heather of Fountain; eight brothers, Howard Pitts of Panama City, David Pitts of Panama City, Robert Pitts of Panama City, Leslie Pitts of Perry, Ga., Vernon Pitts of Fountain, Gary Pitts of Fountain, Darryl Pitts of Ft. Valley, Ga. and Roy Pitts of Panama City; four sisters, Marian Jasperson of Land O'Lakes, Fla., Carolyn Fritschle of Orlando, Betty Jane Sauls of Panama City and Helen Baker of Panama City; and five step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at the Fountain Pentecostal Ministries in Fountain with the Rev. Terrell Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow in Fountain City Cemetery.
