Wendell Granberry, age 75 of Graceville, died Wednesday, January 6th, 2010, in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley. A native of Headland, Alabama, he had been a resident of Jackson County most of his life. He was a self-employed farmer and member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include his Wife of 54 years; Virginia Carter Granberry of Graceville, three Sons; Eddie Granberry and wife Genene of Wausau, Ricky Granberry and wife Cindi of Chipley, Ben Granberry and wife Madonna of Graceville, one Daughter; Pam Granberry Johnson and Husband Rusty of Lynn Haven, one Sister; Margaret Toole of Columbus, Georgia, nine Grandchildren; Farrah Swearingen, Travis Granberry, Samantha Granberry, Candace Taylor, Kristian Granberry, Wyatt Granberry, Jill Johnson, Nathaniel Granberry and Nicholas Granberry. Three Great Grandchildren; Taylor Swearingen, Brooklynn Granberry and Carter Taylor. The family will receive friends Friday evening, January 8th, 2010 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. John Howell officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley is in charge of the arrangements.
