Virginia W. Rucker, age 97 of Chipley, died Wednesday, December 9th, 2009 in the Washington County Rehab and Nursing Center, in Chipley. She was born May 29th, 1912 in Callensburg, Pennsylvania to William Thomas and Edna Mae (Wilson) Rankin. Mrs. Rucker spent many years working for J.C. Penny and Hills Department Stores in New Castle, Pennsylvania and Warren, Ohio. After retirement, she moved to Florida. She is preceded in death by her husbands Jay Bashline and W.C Rucker, Parents and her loving children; Edna Wilson and William (Bill) Bashline. Survivors include one Daughter; Doris Groove of New Castle, Pa., 8 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 20 Great-Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 15th at 2:00 P.M. Eastern, at the graveside in Craig Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Augustine, Florida with Dr. Dudley Weaver officiating. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley is in charge of the arrangements.
