Virginia R. Quattlebaum, age 83, passed from this life Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital. Mrs. Quattlebaum was born in DeFuniak Springs, Fl. on April 14, 1926 to Edwin and Meroe (Andrews) Stanton. She worked for herself in childcare and was a lifelong resident of Chipley, Fl. Mrs. Quattlebaum was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and was a avid person with the Council On Aging and worked at the election polls. She was preceded in the death by her parents E.F. and Meroe Andrews Stanton, one daughter Sandra Odom, and two brothers Lee Stanton and George Stanton Sr. Mrs. Quattlebaum is survived by three sons Steve Enfinger and wife Kathy of Newton, Ga., Steve Odom and wife Diane of Jonesborough, Ga., and Ronald Odom of Chipley, Fl. Three daughters Frances Quattlebaum of Chipley, Fl., Sherry Butterworth and husband Arthur of Carryville, Fl, Patty Willis and husband David of Chipley, Fl. One brother Sam Stanton and wife Dot of Chipley, Fl. One sister Meroe Camp of Chipley, Fl. 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday March 20, 2010 at New Prospect Baptist Church with the Dr. Kermit Soileau officiating. Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 19, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
