Virginia A. Kent passed from this life November 9, 2022 at a memory care assisted living facility in Panama City Beach, Florida. She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on June 27, 1922 to Robert Ray and Nellie Louise (Skemp) Moore. Virginia was a homemaker for her family and she was also a beautician.

She is preceded by her parents, her husband, Joseph Dewey Kent Sr., daughter, Arlene Jean Kent Richards, son, Joseph D. Kent Jr., brother, Robert Moore, brother, Charles W. Moore, sister, Betty Lou Moore, sister, Kathleen Moore Anderson, sister, Lois Moore Morse, son-in-law, Edward D. Gibson Jr. and her grandson, Ernest C. Richards Jr.  Virginia is survived by her daughter, Nancy L. Gibson, son-in-law, Ernest Cordell Richards, grandson, David Kent Richards and wife Melissa, and four great grandchildren, Ash, Cole, Wyatt, Garett.

Her funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 19, 2022 at New Hope Methodist Church in New Hope, Florida. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
