Virginia Griffin, age 93, went home to be with the lord Saturday, February 18, 2012. Ms. Griffin was born June 2, 1918 to the late Henry and Adline Kowitz. She is a lifelong resident of Chipley and worked as a self employed farmer. Ms. Virginia was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Chipley, a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years and also the Ladies Auxiliary D.A.V. She loved fishing, bingo and playing cards. Ms. Griffin is preceded in death by her husband Andrew Lee Griffin. Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Quick and Carmen Adams of Chipley. Six grandchildren, Flint Adams, Travis Mask, Rita Sweat, Jena Warren, Crystal Tibi and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Brown Funeral Home Brickyard Road Chapel with the Reverend Ben Hull officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Monday, February 20, 2012 at Brown Funeral Home Brickyard Road Chapel.
