Virgie Ellen Keen, age 86 of Wausau, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at her home. Virgie was born October 4, 1925 in Sebring Florida to the late Robert Emmett and Eliza (Sheppard) Jones. She had been a resident of Wausau for the past 42 years, coming from LaBelle, Florida. Virgie was a homemaker and member of the Calvary Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Rev. Clyde A. Keen; one son, Robert A. Keen; one step son, Jerome Keen. Survivors include; three sons, Bobby Keen and wife Mae, of DeFuniak Springs, Sammy Keen and wife Mary of Dade City, Florida, Richard Keen and wife Edna of Live Oak, Florida; three daughters, Ellen Coatney of Wausau, Nancy Hagan and husband Roger Dale of Wausau, Sylvia West and husband Robert of Panama City; one brother, Emmett Jones of Holopaw, Florida; twenty eight grandchildren; sixty one great grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 4:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the Calvary Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church in Vernon with the Rev. Tim Bush, Rev. T.A Greene Rev. Danny Burns and Rev. Glen Keen officiating. Interment will follow in Wausau Memorial Gardens.
