Violet Zelda Rhodes, age 71 of Chipley, passed away Saturday May 1st, 2010 at her home. She was born April 7, 1939 in Bonifay to the late Eddie and Elizabeth (Taylor) Usery of Chipley. Mrs. Rhodes was a life-long resident of Chipley, a homemaker and a member of the Grace & Glory Independent Church in Chipley. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her Husband; Paul Rhodes and a Son; Henry DeWayne Rhodes. Survivors include two Sons; Lamar and his wife Julie Rhodes of Ft. Myers, Fla. and their children, Joelee, Shannon and Timothy Rhodes, Son; Allen and his wife Melissa Rhodes of Chipley and their children; John, Allen Jr. and Micola. Four Daughters; Carolyn and husband Richard Miller of Ashford, Ala. and their children; John Wayne, Justin and a deceased son Lloyd Jr., Daughter; Melinda Drummond of Chipley and son Patrick, Daughter; Wanda and husband Roy Beebe of Midland City, Ala., and children Roy Jr. and Ryan, Daughter; Pam and her husband Jesse Durrance of Graceville, Fla., and children; Kristi, Kaitlin, Sarah and Jesse Jr.,children of the late Son; DeWayne Rhodes and wife Ruthie; Mandy, Shawn, Ashley, Kayla and Michael, twenty-four Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren. One Brother; Eugene Usery, three Sisters; Edna Pearl Chestnut, Edna Merle Pettis and Ruth Helen Thomas all of Chipley. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 5th at 2:30 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Main St. Chapel with Rev. Debbie Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at their home, 619 Pear St. Chipley.
