Vanessa (Collins) Henry, age 53 of Vernon, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at her home. Vanessa was born March 9, 1958 in Virginia to the late Byron and Elise (Raines) Collins. A homemaker, she had been a resident here for the past 20 years, coming from Springfield, Florida and was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Vernon. Survivors include; one son, Anthony Collins of Vernon; one sister, Ellen Pullen of Charleston, West Virginia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Vernon with the Rev. Allen English officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley is in charge of the arrangements. The family is accepting live plants but suggests contributions to the Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3334 Holmes Valley Rd., Vernon, Florida 32462.
