Troy Ted Murray, age 85 of Cottondale, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 in the Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Murray was born April 16, 1925 in Cedar Grove North Carolina to the late John Phillip and Lavena (Gentry) Murray. He had been a resident here for over 30 years, coming from Miami, Florida. Mr. Murray was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a retired truck driver and a member of the First Baptist Church in Cottondale. Survivors include; a friend and caregiver, Dolores Brown of Cottondale and several nieces. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10 A.M. in the First Baptist Church in Cottondale with the Rev. Ernie Gray and Rev. Jack Brock officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church Cemetery in Cottondale. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley is in charge of the arrangements.
