Thomas Wayne "Tom" Gurley, age 80, of Chipley, FL passed from this life on Friday, November 24, 2023.  He was born on July 29, 1943 in Corinth, MS to the late Thomas R. Gurley and Reba (Lamb) Gurley.

Tom's career spanned over 50 years in radio and media broadcasting.  A talented Disc Jockey,  he was on air at the most popular stations in Memphis, Tennessee, namely WHBQ and WMC. He took his talents to Panama City, Florida and was well-respected as a Master Controller at Fox-28, Beach-TV, and WMBB.

Tom had a great eye for photography with a particular fondness for capturing wildlife, southern churches, and old country barns. He loved sharing his photos with friends far and wide through Facebook.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Gurley, two sons, Michael Gurley (Austin), Jason Gurley (Dena), one daughter, Jenny Hidle (Darrel), one sister, Ellen Kilgore (Don), five grandchildren, Taylor Gagliano, Zachary Gurley, Jacob Gurley, Catherine Miller, Autumn Hidle and his baby girl, Biscuit.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. with the Memorial Service to follow at 10:30 A.M.
