Thelma Tharp, age 93 of Chipley, Florida, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Washington Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born June 1, 1929 in Washington County, Florida to the late Hasten Owens and Jewell (Hagan) Owens. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband; Jack Tharp, brother; T.J. Owens and her sister; Genella Atwell.

Survivors include her daughter; Wanda Curry and husband Billy, sister-in-law; Inez Owens, 3 grandchildren; Shannon Curry, Jennifer Basnaw and Jason Curry, 5 great grandchildren; Madison, Wes, Maddie, Brayson, Sophie, 1 great great grandchild; Averly, numerous nieces and nephews, and a caretaker and good friend; Esther Nicholas.

Funeral service will be held 11:00A.M. Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Dale Hagan officiating. Interment will follow in the Ferguson Cemetery in Chipley, Florida. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
