Sylvia J. Hutchins, age 69,of Chipley passed from this life Friday, September 26, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Sylvia was born in Bonifay, FL on May 13, 1945 to the late Johnny (Sambo) and Ida B. (Payne) Hutchins. Mrs. Hutchins retired as a Registered Nurse from Florida State Hospital. She was a life-long resident of Washington County and was a founding member of Grace and Glory Worship Center where she served as Adult Sunday School Teacher. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Carmouche. She is survived by her sister Linda Cumbaa and husband Frank of Lynn Haven, FL, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 29, 2014 at Blue Lake Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Debbie Williams officiating. Visitation will be held 5 to 7 P.M. Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Grace and Glory Worship Center, 912 Brickyard Road in Chipley.
