Susan Elaine Gibson, age 45 of Chipley, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley. Susan was born, February 22, 1966 in Clarksville, Arkansas to the late David and Charlotte (Cheney) Thompson and had been a resident here for the past 10 years. She was a secretary for the Washington County Building Department. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a sister, Jeanie. Survivors include; her husband, Timothy W. Gibson of Chipley; one son, Justin Thompson of California: two step-sons, Charles Gibson of Chipley and Tyler Gibson of Palm Coast, Florida; two daughters, , Jessica Dorrough of Chipley and Jennifer Clayborn of Chipley; one step daughter, Ilene Smith of Chipley; four brothers, David Thompson of Clarksville, Arkansas, Bob Krumdick of Dripping Springs, Texas, Jamie Thompson of Clarksville, Arkansas, Greg Krumdick of Clarksville, Arkansas: One sister, Diann Roberts of Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren. Her friends were considered as family also. Memorialization will be by cremation with memorial services to be announced later. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Susan Thompson Gibson Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank in Chipley that has been established to help care for her grandbabies that she was taking care of.
