Steve R. Parker, age 73, passed from this life Friday, April 1, 2016 at his home. He was born in Fort Pierce, FL on July 14, 1942 to Jachob Hudson and Sylvia (Meritt) Parker. Steve was a school teacher where he taught 5th, 6th, and 7th grade. He left Okeechobee, FL in 2012 and moved to Cottondale, FL and was a member of the Blue Lake Baptist Church in Chipley, FL. Steve is preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Buddy Parker. He is survived by his wife Linda Parker of Cottondale, FL. One son: William (Bruce) Parker of Cottondale, FL. One daughter: Lori Parker of Cottondale, FL. 2 sisters: Mary Bariecklow of Stewart, FL and Lorene Mott of Marianna, FL and 5 grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held 10:00A.M., April 4, 2016 at Blue Lake Baptist Church with the Rev. John Grebeta officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 9:30A.M. prior to service. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
