Mr. Stanley Varnum, 78, of Chipley, Florida passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 in Dothan, Alabama. He was born on April 4, 1932 in Plant City Florida to Hezzie Allan and Mary (Weeks) Varnum, Sr. He had resided in Chipley, Florida since 1989 coming from Milton, Florida. He was of the Methodist Faith and a member of the Chipley First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the American Legion in Graceville, Florida. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Varnum, Chipley, Florida. 2 Sons: Stanley Allen Varnum and wife Cynthia, Aiken, South Carolina. Keith Varnum and wife Melissa, Marianna, Florida. One Brother: Harry Varnum, Blountstown, Florida. Three Sisters: Patricia Lee, Blountstown, Florida, Mary Lou Birch, Blountstown, Florida. Catherine Schlein, Orlando, Florida. Five Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Chipley First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry May officiating. Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home, Directing. Visitation will be from 1:30 until 2:30 P.M. prior to the service at the Church. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the Building Fund of the Chipley First United Methodist Church.
