Shirley Norton passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026.

She was born on December 19, 1940 to Thomas Zachary Harris and Macy Evell Harris. Shirley devoted many years to serving her community, working for 30 years at Northwest Florida Community Hospital and 16 years at Clark Insurance.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leslie Norton; her children, Debbie Spivey and Chuck Norton; her brothers, Tom Harris and John Harris; and her sister, Edna Dilmore.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory, including her four grandchildren, Chris Norton, Barbie Stephens, Paul Pouncey, and Jessica Ussery; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Lola Clark and Betty Joiner.

Shirley found joy in simple things in life, especially spending time with her family and watching Jimmy Swaggart. She will be remembered for the love she gave to those around her and the many lives she touched throughout her years.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held 3:00P.M. Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Chipley, Florida with Pastor John Howell and Pastor John Richbourg officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00P.M.-3:00P.M. Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Brown Funeral Home.
