Shiela Waldron Sloan Garland passed away on May 8th, 2025, at the young age of 59, in her home surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born on November 8th, 1965, in Sebring, Florida to Jerry Waldron Sr and Barbara Ann Waldron. Shiela graduated from Vernon High School and continued her education at Chipola Jr. College. She spent most her life in Washington County and loved all it had to offer.

Shiela spent over a decade volunteering with the Girl Scouts of America as a Troop Leader and was very thankful for the many lives she got to be involved in. Another passion for her was bowling. Through this she was able to volunteer with Special Olympics and the Tuesday Morning Coffee League at Kindel Lanes in Marianna. She built many friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime.

Shiela loved hard, treated everyone like family, and was always ready to give a hug or smile. She had an innate ability to find beauty in everything and was filled with creativity. Her interests included crafting, flowers, music, fishing, and spending time with her family. She was a beloved wife, mom, grandmother, and sister. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her in recent years was made well aware of her pride and joy - her only granddaughter Piper Ann.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 19 years Steven Garland; her children Ashley Pedro (Stephen) and Shana Sloan; her beautiful granddaughter Piper Pedro; one sister Angela Capps (Billy), brother Jerry Waldron Jr., nephews Thomas Capps (Tiffanie) and Luke Capps (Skylar), great nephew James, great nieces Lily and Rory; and bonus daughters Lindsey Sutherland and Hope Schmidt. She is preceded in death by her parents Jerry Waldron Sr. and Barbara Ann Waldron.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. with Funeral Services to follow at 11:00 A.M.  Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
