Shellie D. Foxworth, age 86, passed from this life Thursday, October 3, 2024 at his home. He was born in Chipley, Florida on June 25, 1938 to Shellie A. Foxworth and Eva (Hughes) Foxworth.

Shellie graduated from Chipley High School in 1956. He worked at delivering ice and running the movies at the drive in theater. Shellie went to work at Boeing and then was drafted into the U.S. Army. Two years later, he came home and began working in Chipley at DOT road department were he remaind for 35 years then retired. He loves to play harmonica and is our family historian. Shellie attended Lovewood Baptist church for 50 years where he served as a deacon.

He is preceded by his parents. Shellie is survived by his wife of 63 years; Jean Collins, his son; Shellie Douglas Foxworth, his daughter; Rhonda Jean Foxworth Best, his brother; Willie C. Foxworth, his sister; Annie Lee Foxworth, his 4 grandchildren; Chris Reeves, Levi Foxworth, Joshua Foxworth, and Shelli Nicole Williams Thomas, and 7 great grandchildren.

Shellie funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Lovewood Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church at 1:00 P.M.
