Shelby Jean Bryant, age 79 of Bonifay, FL went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 14, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Shelby Jean was born on December 9, 1936 in Bonifay, FL to the late William and Elsie (Kelly) Leavins.
She is a lifelong resident of the Bonifay area and a Graduate of Holmes County High Class of 1955. Shelby Jean was a member of Bonifay First Assembly of God Church where she sang in the church choir and was also part of the Women's Ministries of First Assembly.
She is preceded in death by one brother, J.W. Leavins, two sisters, Clara Steverson and Mary Leavins. Survivors include, her husband, Bobby Bryant of Bonifay, FL, one son, Ray Raley and wife Janis of Fort Worth, TX, one daughter, Karen Burch and husband Danny of Bonifay, FL, one step son, David Bryant and wife Lea of Bonifay, FL, two step daughters, Tanya Champion and husband Jason of Dothan, AL, Terri Lee and husband Bryan of Bonifay, FL, grandchildren, Christopher, James, Annah, Erin, Sarah, Misty, Tanner, Abby, Seth, Rebecca, Sam, Kayla and Lindsey.
Family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Bonifay First Assembly of God Church from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Bonifay First Assembly of God Church at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend John Chance, Reverend Dallas Pettis and Reverend David Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at the Bonifay City Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing.
