Rudolph E. Desautels Jr., age 81, passed from this life Saturday, May 18, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island on January 2, 1938 to Rudolph E. and Irene (Clavet) Desautels Sr. Rudolph served in the Air Force as a A1C from January 13, 1955 to January 13, 1963. He was a member of the American Legion Post 375 and loved his Bingo and Bowling.

Rudolph is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 53 years; Gertrude Lucille Palmer, two sisters; Celia Hanley and Claire Stevens and one brother; Raymond Desautels. He is survived by his sister; Marie Desmarais, his children; Donna Collins and husband Mike, Rudolph E. Desautels III and wife Debbie, Robert Allen Desautels and wife Suzanne, Richard Joseph Desautels and wife Shelley, and Raymond Authur Desautels, , 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a special thank you to his wonderful nurse and niece, Barbara Smith.

A visitation will be held 5:00-7:00P.M., Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Legion Post 375 P.O.
