Ruby Barrow Wilkinson, 95, of Chipley Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Ruby was born November 29, 1930, to Aroster Wilson and Cordie Elizabeth Wilson. Ruby was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Ruby accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age while attending Salem Baptist Church, where her dad was a deacon and her mom taught Sunday School. Ruby attended and graduated from Chipley High School Class of 1949.

Ruby was a retired seamstress. She worked at several sewing factories in the Bonifay and Marianna area. She also worked several years at Shreve's Pecan Company in Chipley.

"Miss Ruby", was known for her canned goods that she sold at the Chipley Farmers Market. She sold 16 different homemade jams, jellies, pickles, salsa, squash and was famous for her pumpkin bread.

She loved to fish, work in her flowers, and go to gospel sings. If there was an event in town or at one of the churches, she did her best to attend. She volunteered for 14 years at the Northwest Florida Hospital as a pink lady. Ruby was a good cook and won a state pie contest, chili cook offs, and local corn pone competitions. She had a lot of friends that she loved and who were very good to her.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roland Barrow and Raymond Wilkinson, her sons Roland Barrow Jr. and Ronald Keith Barrow and her brother Gerald Golden Wilson.

She is survived by her daughter Dorothy Barrow Glasgow (John) of Freeport Florida and her daughter Susan Elaine Munns (Charles) of Chipley Florida. Ruby has one sister Gladys Bradshaw of Columbus, Georgia.

Ruby was blessed with 7 Grandchildren, Cindy Johnson Brown, Tonya Johnson Bailey, Alyssa Munns, April Kati, Heather Baxter, Brandon Barrow and Heather Glasgow. Ruby has 3 Great Grand's, Carla Baxter, Olivia Grace Brown and Levi Jones.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Shiloh Baptist Church with Brown Funeral Home directing. Reverend Forrest Smith will be officiating the service. Burial will be at Piney Grove Cemetery in Chipley, Florida.

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
