Roy Charles Strickland, age 58, of Caryville, FL, passed from this life Thursday, January 22, 2015 at his home. He was born in Panama City, FL on July 9, 1956 to the late Charles and Helen (Leavins) Strickland. Roy worked as a Auto Tech for G&J Auto and had lived here most of his life in Panama City before moving to Caryville. In addition to his family, Roy loved fishing and anything pertaining to the outdoors. He is preceded in death by; his wife, Leslie (Brehm) Strickland, one daughter Dana Strickland, and one sister: Barbara Page. He is survived by one son: Randy Strickland of Caryville, FL; one daughter, Ashley Michelle McKinnon and husband Robbie of Gainesville, GA.; One sister, Diana Jernigan and husband Lorell of Chipley, FL; one brother, Jimmy Strickland and wife Joy of Lynn Haven, FL; eight grandchildren, one adopted granddaughter, one great grandson and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 26, 2015 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
