Roberta (Bertye) Pletcher, age 86 of Chipley, died Sunday May 24th, 2009 at her home. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, she had been a resident of Chipley for the past seven years coming from Winter Haven, Florida. She was a retired lunch room manager for the Polk County school system and a member of the First Baptist Church in Chipley. She was a former member of the Inwood Baptist Church in Winter Haven for 35 years where she taught five year olds and was a member of the clown ministry. Survivors include three Sons: Bill and wife Kathy Pletcher of Ormond Beach, Fla., Paul and wife Melissia Pletcher of Winter Haven, Fla. and Bobby and wife Deann Pletcher of Chipley. One Daughter; Penny and husband Kenny Hadden of Winter Haven, Fla. Seven Grandchildren and two Great Granddaughters. The family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel Thursday evening May 28th, from 6 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the building fund of First Baptist Church in Chipley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday May 30th at 11:00 A.M. Eastern time in the Inwood Baptist Church in Winter Haven with the Rev. Jackie Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Cemetery in Winter Haven. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
