Robert E. Moody, age 73, passed from this life Friday, August 31, 2012 at his home in Panama City, FL. He was born in Houston County, Al. on December 15, 1938 to John T. and Mattie (Blackmon) Moody. Mr. Moody was the owner of Moody's Auto Service. He is preceded in death by one daughter Peggy Moody, 4 brothers: John E. Moody, J.T. Moody, Earl Moody, and Johnny Moody, 2 sisters: Janie Mae Callaway and Fannie Lou Newsome. Mr. Moody is survived by his wife Ellen Moody of Panama City, Fl., 3 sons: Hurtis L. Moody, John S. Moody, and James Moody all of Panama City, Fl. 3 daughters: Angela Murnon of Panama City, Fl., Melissa Waters and husband Shawn of Panama City, Fl., and Darlene Cheney and husband Jason of Navarre, Fl. 2 brothers: William Moody of Alford, Fl. and Danny Moody of Lake City, Fl. 3 sisters: Pearle Newsome of Chipley, Fl., Annie Lou Vannest of Lynn Haven, Fl., Donnie Merle Baker of Riverbank, Ca. 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carlos Finch officiating. Internment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6 to 8PM Monday, September 3, 2012 in Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
