Robert Earl Kitchens, Sr., age 67 of Wausau, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 at his home. Robert was born November 29, 1943 in Columbus, Georgia to the late George Aaron Sr. and Julia Louise (Pate) Kitchens. A self-employed, home repairman, he had been a resident here since 2005, coming from Smith, Alabama. Survivors include; his wife, Christine C. Kitchens of Wausau; one son, Robert Earl Kitchens Jr. of Phoenix City, Ala.; four daughters, Michele Kitchens of Phoenix City, Ala., Stephanie Kitchens of Phoenix City, Merrilyn Meadows of Chipley and Cathy D. Austin of Fountain, Fla.; one brother, George Kitchens Jr. of Columbus, Ga.; one sister, Wanda Jean Vaughn of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Main Street Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Wausau Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. James Barwick and Rev. Ronnie Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Wausau Memorial Gardens.
