For those who knew him well, Robert was one who would stop by for an unexpected visit to check on those he loved. He enjoyed giving and will be remembered for putting others' needs before his own. He served his country well in the United States Army beginning at the young age of 18 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Never did he share that he received many honorable medals for his leadership and service to his country.
Having strong hands and a logical mind, Robert had a heart for remodeling and restoring houses and buildings. He was an amazing cook as well, which led him to fulfill a lifelong dream of opening his own restaurant. It was more than just a business to him; he wanted all who entered to know that not only could they receive a wonderful meal, but most importantly, they would be loved and valued by the staff.
Loving the Lord, taking care of others, and giving when he sensed a need are values for which Robert Brown, Sr. will be remembered. During his sickness with pancreatic cancer, he often talked of the importance of loving others and forgiving one another no matter what the circumstance. His time on this earth was short, but the time he did have here had a positive impact on many lives. He will forever be remembered for his service to others and his generosity.
