Higbee

Richard Joseph Higbee was born July 1st, 1947, in Ft. Madison, Iowa to Willard and Gracie Levine Higbee.
Richard enlisted in the Army at age 17 during the Vietnam War. After attending Officers Candidate School, Richard went on to become the youngest Captain in the Army at the time of his commission at only 21 years old.
It was while stationed in Ft. Rucker, AL that Richard met the love of his life Carol and started a family. After leaving the Army Richard spent the majority of his professional career in sales and sales management, selling everything from automobiles to houses. Richard never met a stranger and was a born salesman who charmed everyone he met with his outgoing personality and sense of humor. Richard enjoyed travel but didn't have many hobbies and wasn't a member of any clubs. Instead, he fiercely enjoyed his family and was always there to support his children and grandchildren in whatever they pursued. Richard was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church.
Richard passed away on November 19th, 2019 after complications from a stroke.
Mr. Higbee is survived by his wife Carol Hodges Higbee, Four Children, Richard Higbee Jr., Stephen Higbee and His Wife Tammy Higbee, Carla Hightower and her husband Kyle Hightower, Kelly Block and her Husband Shawn Block and Nine grandchildren. Cylie Hightower, Talor Hightower, Connor Hightower, Caleb Higbee, Chandler Harris, Alex Montero Sophia Eldred and her husband Tim, Christopher Hoffman, Jordan Hoffman and his wife Brittney and five great grandchildren.
The family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Trinity Church in Chipley, FL. Brown Funeral Home and Blue Lake Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements and memorialization.
