Richard Leo Bednar, Sr. age 73 of Sunny Hills, Florida, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born November 12, 1939 in Meadville, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph Sr. and Vera (Bundy) Bednar. A former truck driver for moving and storage, he had been a resident of Sunny Hills for the past thirteen years, coming from Tampa, Florida. He was an avid golfer and very proud of the four hole in one's he had made. In addition to loving his family, he loved bowling at Regal Lanes Bowling Seniors and loved fishing. Survivors include: his loving wife of over fifty one years, Faith Bednar of Sunny Hills; two sons, Richard Bednar Jr. and wife Robin of Tacoma, Washington, Ron Bednar and wife Valorie of Tampa, Florida; two daughters, Alicia Bednar of Sunny Hills, Florida, Amanda Munoz and husband Gary of Tampa, Florida; one brother, Joseph Bednar Jr. of Dade City, Florida; five grandchildren, Jessica Warner, Kevin Bednar, Stephanie Munoz, Ryan Munoz and Rachel Bednar. Private memorial services were held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to Emerald Coast Hospice, 1330 South Blvd. Chipley, Florida 32428.
