Peter F. Hughes, Jr. age 72, of Caryville, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in the Bay Medical Center. Mr. Hughes was born December 20, 1939 in Utica, New York to the late Peter and Mildred (Rehm) Hughes. He had been a resident of Caryville for the past 18 years, coming from Paisley, Florida. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and was of Catholic faith.Survivors include: his wife, Alberta Hughes of Caryville; four sons, Rick Hughes and wife Kim, Michael Hughes, Richard James Hughes and Albert Hughes; seven daughters, Christine Hughes and friend Jan, Renee Hughes, Michelle Hughes, Yvonne Barttle and husband John, Heather White and husband Wayne, Stephanie Hughes and fiancé James, Samantha French and fiancé Robert Perry; one brother, William Hughes and wife Janet; two sisters, Mary Gottuso , Helen Gaffrey and husband Kevin; twenty four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 2 to 4 P.M. at 4328 Douglas Ferry Road in Caryville.
