Peggy Clohan, age 72, passed from this life Monday, February 18, 2013 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. surrounded by her family. She was born November 10, 1940 to the late Cadwalader and Ruth Brock in Milton, FL. Mrs. Peggy has been a resident of Vernon since 1973 coming from Oregon. She worked as a substitute teacher for the Washington County School System and was a member of New Bethany Assembly of God where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for 40 years and the Children's Church for 30 years. Peggy is preceded in death by her sister, Elma Wiggins. Survivors include her husband Tom Clohan of Vernon, FL. Two sons, Frank Clohan and wife Tina of Cottonwood, AL. and Bill Clohan of Buford, GA. One sister, Mary Rivera of Arkansas. Four grandchildren, Katherine, Anna, Rachel and Brock Clohan. Family will receive friends Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home Main Street Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at New Bethany Assembly of God at Hinson's Crossroads with the Reverend Leon Jenkins and Reverend Bill Mathis officiating. Interment will follow at the New Bethany Assembly of God cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing.
