Pauline Deuerling, age 90 of Marianna, FL passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 in Greenville, SC. Pauline was born January 10, 1924 in Slocomb, AL to the late Hosea and Mattie (Owens) Mills. She has been a resident of the Jackson County area for 4 years coming from Millville, FL. and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fountain. Pauline is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Deuerling, one son, Roger Deuerling, one daughter, Betty Jo Hawkins, one grandson, Christopher Deuerling and one brother, Roland Mills. Survivors include, three sons, David B. Deuerling of Travelers Rest, SC, Jack Deuerling of Marianna, FL, Tim Deuerling of Chipley, FL, one daughter, Jill M. Hood of Travelers Rest, SC, one sister, Ida Lee Boswell of Slocomb, AL, thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Christian Home Baptist Church of Slocomb, AL with the Reverend Dickie McAllister officiating. Family will be receiving friends for visitation one hour prior to funeral service at the church. Interment will follow at the Christian Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing.
