Oswald Macune (Chip) Weeks, Jr. age 94, of Chipley, died Friday, March 5, 2010, in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital. Mr. Weeks was born November 24, 1915 in Ft. Myers, Florida to the late Oswald M. and Marie Stella (Sulter) Weeks. He had retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a former Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, and a veteran of WWII. He had been a resident of Chipley since 1945 coming here from Holmes County, Fla. He is preceded in death by a Brother; Clarence Edward Weeks and a Sister; Marie B. Wilson. Survivors include a niece; Marie Bruner of Tallahassee and a nephew; Burton W. Wilson of Graceville and several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9th at 2:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel with Bishop John Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Wachob-Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Chapel.
