Norman Virgil Brown, age 79 of Bonifay, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 in the Southeast Regional Medical Center in Dothan. Norman was born April 12, 1932 in Esto, Florida to the late Norman and Oveal (Coates) Brown. He had retired from the U.S. Navy as well as Gulf Power Company and had been a resident of Bonifay for the past five years, moving there from Chipley. He was a member of the V.F.W., The Fleet Reserve and a member of the Christ of Christ Christian Church. Survivors include: his wife, Mildred (Allen) Brown of Bonifay; three sons;
Allen Brown and wife Kathy of Kernersville, N.C., Les Brown of Bristol, Fla. and William Brown of Spanish Fort, Alabama; one daughter, Melinda Robinson and husband Charlie of Chipley; one sister, Phyllis Dunivan of Bonifay; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends Tuesday March 20, 2012 from 5 to 7 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 10 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel. Interment will follow in Bonifay City Cemetery in Bonifay with military honors.
