Mittie Myrle Baxley, age 71, passed from this life Monday, May 2, 2016 at Washington Rehab and Nursing Center in Chipley, FL. She was born in Cottondale, FL on January 2, 1945 to John Henry and Abby Iola (Highsmith) Matthews. Mrs. Mittie worked at a private plant nursey. She was a life-long resident of Washington County and a member of Turning Point Church in Chipley, FL. Mrs. Baxley is survived by her 3 sons: Danny Baxley and wife Monica, Rex Baxley and Travis Baxley and wife Dana all of Chipley, FL. One daughter: Jennifer Huffman and husband Charles of Chipley, FL, 10 grandchildren: Felicia Floyd and husband Chalop, Monique Baxley, Ashlyn Hadden Baxley, Angelica Baxley, Travis Baxley, Breanna Baxley, Tara Baxley, Sarah Baxley, Emma Baxley and Samuel Baxley all of Chipley, FL and 1 great grandchild: Chalop Floyd Sr. Graveside service will be held 2:00P.M., Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Wachob Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Clifton officiating and Brown Funeral Home directing.
