Mildred Yates Farrior, age 95 of Chipley, passed away Saturday, August 14th, 2010 in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital. Mrs. Farrior was born October 18th, 1914 in Chipley to the late J.E. and Leola (Britt) Yates and had been a life-long resident of Chipley. She was a retired school teacher and will be lovingly remembered by the many, many students she taught in the second grade at Kate M. Smith Elementary School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chipley, a member of the Chipley Women's Club and the Daughters of The American Revolution. In addition to her Parents, she is predeceased by her Husband; Dan Farrior, a Brother; Rex T. Yates, a Sister; Bera Yates Owens and a Nephew; Dr. J.T. Owens. Survivors include several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 17th, at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church in Chipley with the Rev. Michael Orr officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley is in charge of the arrangements.
