Michael B. Stoker was born on July 2, 1951, in Utah, and passed away on February 4, 2026, at the home of his son, David, surrounded by his loving family. His departure leaves an ache in the hearts of all who knew and cherished him.
For over 14 years, Mike worked as a dumptruck driver for Kennecott Copper in Salt Lake City, Utah, a profession that was both demanding and dangerous. He approached his work with a steadfast dedication, embodying the values of hard work and resilience that defined his character.
Mike was not only a devoted worker but also a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bonifay, Florida. His strong faith guided him throughout his life, reflecting his steadfast commitment to his beliefs and the community around him.
In addition to his professional life, Mike enjoyed a rich array of hobbies and interests. He was an avid sportsman, whose love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting and fishing. He took pleasure in walking around his community in Wausau, finding joy in the simple moments of life. His hands were skilled in woodworking and carpentry, as he built benches and tables for his family, showcasing his love through craftsmanship. A proud truck owner, he often found comfort in his beloved vehicle. In his leisure time, Mike relished watching Westerns, particularly those starring John Wayne, which reflected his appreciation for classic storytelling.
Mike is survived by his loving family, including his sons David Stoker and his fiancée Jennifer Smith, Philip Stoker and his wife Frances, Keith Stoker and his wife Leiah, and Brent Stoker. His daughter Tiffany Stoker also mourns his passing. He is a grandfather to Cici, Blake, Joshua, Shane, Kyra, Elizabeth, Mackenzie, Garrick, and Nikki Stoker, and a great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy for him.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Stoker and Ruby Camp Stoker, as well as his beloved wife, Luana Gay Anderson Stoker. Together, they provided the foundation of love and support that allowed Mike to thrive within his family and his community.
A graveside service for Mike will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Wachob Forest Lawn Cemetery in Chipley, Florida.
