Mary Margaret Shaffer Noss, 75 of Chipley, passed away peacetully on August 15, 2026 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born November 2, 1950, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Carrie Pear (Henry) Shaffer. Mary found joy in the simple things in life like roadside roses and tending to her garden.

Cooking comfort food was her love language, refusing to let family and friends leave her home without being fed, and during the holidays she displayed her outstanding baking skills with cookies and pumpkin pies- memories that her family will cherish forever. She also enjoyed crocheting and crafting, creating unique gifts of all kinds for those she loved. Her family brought her the greatest joy, especially her children and grandchildren, whom she adored, and she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary is survived by her children: Bobbi Jo Finn and her husband of Chipley, Florida, Ronald Noss and wife Brenda of Marianna, Florida, Tammy McCraney and husband Jamie of Lynn Haven, Florida, Isaac Noss of Chipley, Florida; siblings; grandchildren: Sarah, Emma, Christopher, Samuel, Lilly, Abigail, Katherine, Isaac, Layla, Serenity, Zachary, Emma, Mary, Niah, Abby, Stephanie, and Evelyn; great grandchildren: Alex and Camden.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Anna Bruner and Mary’s cousin Melvin for the outstanding care they delivered to Mary in the final months of her life.

Memorialization will be by cremation with Brown Funeral Home & Blue Lake Crematory of Chipley, FL in charge of the arrangements.
