Mary Ruth Hartzog, age 86, passed from this life Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Washington Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born in Vernon, FL on August 9, 1929 to Thomas Gadi and Sarah Matilda (Parish) Collins.

Mary Ruth was a homemaker and Methodist by faith. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband John Henry Hartzog.

She is survived by her son, John Hartzog and wife Kathy of Chipley, FL. One daughter Mary Ann Gilmore and husband Jimmy of Caryville, FL, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Chris Pippin and wife Christy, Carly Galbreath and husband Justin, Christy Peacock, Brandon Peacock, Ethan Peacock, Rod Peters and wife Amy, Jade Peters, Emma Peters, Gracie Peters, Jeremy and Santana Peters, Sarah Grace Pippin, Riley Pippin and Brooklyn Grace Galbreath.

Funeral services will be held 1:00P.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Lake View Methodist Church with the Rev. Allen English and Rev. Larry Justice officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
