Marion William King, age 73 of Chipley, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in Flowers Hospital in Dothan. Mr. King was born September 3, 1937 in Waco, Georgia to the late Olin Howard and Doris (Barrow) King. He moved to Chipley in 1981, coming from Panama City, Florida. Mr. King had been a pharmacist for 51 and a half years and was owner of City Drugs in Chipley for 25 years. He was a member of the Independent Pharmacy Association and a member of the First Baptist Church in Chipley. Survivors include; his wife, Pat (Jackson) King of Chipley; three sons, Marion Mark King and wife Lisa of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, Michael Anthony (Tony) King of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kevin Wayne King and wife Lee-Amber of Chipley; one daughter, Sabrina King Combs and husband Eddie of Whitesburg, Tennessee; one sister, Joan King Hamrick and husband Wayne of Cartersville, Georgia; beloved aunt, Hazel Moore and Barry of Waco, Georgia; sister-in-law, Betty Wardrop of Parker, Florida; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 2011 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 3 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel with the Rev. Michael Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Wachob-Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family invites all local physicians and pharmacists to serve as honorary pallbearers.
