Marilyn Ruth Besson, age 76 of Chipley, Florida, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, September 20, 2014 at her home. Marilyn was born April 8, 1938 in Almont, Michigan to the late Weldon and Helen (Kaiser) Edgerton. She was a homemaker and was very active in the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Marilyn loved genealogy and working in crafts. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Weldon Edgerton. Survivors include; her husband, Orville Besson of Chipley; one son, David Dean Besson and wife Tracy of Canton, Georgia; four daughters, Laura Mae Besson of Wausau, Sherry Lynn Calarco of Panama City Beach, Fla., Lynda Sue Leishman and husband Alan of Logan, Utah, and Shelley Ann Devuyst of Wausau; two sisters, Judith Ann Olson and husband Jack of Crossville, Tennessee, Nancy Marie (Vermiglia) Goergen and husband Gene of East Detroit, Michigan; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 11 A.M. in the Bonifay Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints with Bishop John Gilbert officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley is in charge of the arrangements.
