IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Elaine
Roche
March 7, 1952 – February 13, 2026
Margaret Elaine Roche, a beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted community member, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, at the Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City, Florida. Born on March 7, 1952, in Harold, Florida, Margaret dedicated her life to nurturing her family and serving her community.
For over 30 years, Margaret made a significant impact in the Vernon School system, where she worked as a School Bus Driver and in the cafeteria. Her commitment to the children and families of her community truly reflected her warm and caring nature. Those who knew her understood that she was more than just a bus driver or a cafeteria worker; she was a source of encouragement and comfort to many.
Margaret had a zest for life that was evident in all her pursuits. She loved fishing, often spending quiet afternoons by the water, enjoying the beauty of nature. Cooking was another passion of hers—her culinary skills brought joy to countless gatherings, and her dishes were a testament to her love for family and friends. Margaret also found delight in exploring yard sales and flea markets, always searching for that perfect treasure, a pastime that was as much about the hunt as it was about the memories created along the way.
As a mother to Paul Roche and his wife Kelly, Elisa Jean Henson and her husband Frank, and Margaret Elizabeth Gunn, she cherished her role, offering guidance and support while nurturing individual dreams. Her legacy continues through her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who carry forward the values she instilled in them.
Along with her children, Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Harold Lloyd Roche Jr., and her dear sister, Marie Register and her husband Harlon. She was preceded in death by her parents, William M. Smith and Molly J. Mudder, as well as her siblings, leaving those who knew and loved her with precious memories that will be cherished forever.
The impact of Margaret's life will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched. She will be remembered not only for the love she shared but also for the kindness and joy she radiated wherever she went. Her spirit will live on through her family and the community she so lovingly served.
