Madeline S. Martin, age 77 of Chipley, FL went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Madeline was born on July 1, 1937 in Chipley, FL to the late Louis and Nora (Creamer) Sasser. She is a lifelong resident of Chipley and a member of the Blue Lake Baptist Church. Madeline is survived by her loving husband, Horace Martin of Chipley, FL, two sons, Lamar Martin of Middleburg, FL, Ernest Jay Martin of Marianna, FL, two daughters, Alice Simmons and husband Al of Bonifay, FL, Mary Frances Cockcroft of Leesburg, FL, two brothers, Roger Sasser of Graceville, FL, Bobby Sasser of Hawthorn, NV, one sister, Margie Ricks of Chipley, FL, six grandchildren, Mara Register, Tracy Carlin, Shannon Cockcroft, Bobby Cockcroft Jr. and Missy Cockcroft. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Blue Lake Baptist Church of Chipley, FL with visitation being held one hour prior to service, Reverend John Grebeta will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Lake Baptist Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing.
